The anarchy that grew up with the lack of good governance

is the backbone of good governance, rule of law and democracy. Good governance provides the foundation for issues like democracy and human rights to flourish and flourish. But today, in contrast to the rule of law, our society seems to be moving towards anarchy under the cover of human rights and democracy. On the one hand, impunity and lawlessness have flourished in the country, while on the other hand, truth, justice, religion, conscience and brotherhood are disappearing. In these and similar contexts, the activities carried out by those who are said to be responsible are also not very beneficial for the country and the people.
In this context, it is appropriate to mention the context of the Mahabharata period, what is the cause of the death of any nation? Yudhishthira’s answer to the Yaksha’s question was that anarchy is clear from how dangerous anarchy can be for any society and country. But unfortunately, there is a predominance of anarchists on both the street and the house.
If we look at the political, economic and social situation of the country at present, there is despair, disorder and anarchy everywhere.
This disgust among the common people has not come suddenly. It is the result of years of misgovernance, political instability, impunity and corruption. It has become very important to take strong steps to save the country from such a predicament and to move it forward on the path of long-term peace, stability and prosperity. As a result of the Genji movement against good governance and corruption, the general elections held in February 2082 and the present government elected with almost two-thirds majority after the election were also seen to be slow in terms of good governance.
Reasons for lack of good governance:
Political instability and petty party interests: The country has been trapped in the whirlpool of political instability since 2050. Even the party with a majority has not been able to run the government for the full term. The endless game of government change continued in the country. Due to the dominance of small parties and personal interests over the public interest, there was no policy stability, due to which the country could not develop. At present, there is a majority government with about two-thirds of the people’s mandate, yet there is no feeling that it has taken effective steps against corruption and is moving towards good governance. Therefore, the present government should not delay in carrying out the work that will make the citizens feel good governance.
Corruption and impunity: There is no place in this country (from the courts, the Singha Durbar to the municipality) where there is no corruption, if not, and it has not reached. Corruption is spreading like cancer across the country today. The files of big scams are being opened and closed, but due to the tendency of not taking fair action, the culture of getting immunity for criminals has flourished. What is stopping the present powerful government from taking action against the corrupt in a ruthless manner? When can it be done now? This is the question of the common man.
Unemployment and Youth Migration: Thousands of youths are forced to go abroad every day due to lack of employment opportunities in the country. With the exit of the youth force, which is the main backbone of the country, the villages have become empty, the land has become barren and the economy has become completely dependent on remittances. Although remittances seem to have given some relief in the present, in the long term, it is a sign of a troubled future. Therefore, there should be no delay in bringing back the youth who have gone abroad due to compulsion and creating an industrial business environment in the country.
Weak Rule of Law: Due to unnecessary political interference in the judicial system and administrative machinery, the common people are not able to get justice and services easily. There is a lot of party workers and people everywhere. As a result of impunity and lawlessness, despair has increased and anarchy has flourished.
Now, in order to maintain peace and stability in the country, strong steps should be taken immediately to bring the country out of the crisis and maintain good governance. Strict and impartial enforcement of law: The law should be the same for all.
The practice of exempting crimes committed on the basis of position, access and political pretext should be ended and the security agencies and judiciary should be made free from political pressure to fully comply with the rule of law. The practice of appointing party cadres and quacks in the security agencies and courts must end now.
Zero tolerance against corruption: Whoever is holding public office, if found involved in corruption, should be brought under the purview of strict legal action. Independent and capable people should be appointed to bodies like the CIAA and should be made autonomous and resourceful.
Production-oriented economy and job creation: To keep the youth in the country, the state should invest heavily in the modernization of agriculture, small and cottage industries and information technology. The main need of the hour is to transform the import-oriented economy into a production-oriented economy.
Political Good Governance and Accountability: Political parties and leadership should change their working style. The system of giving responsibilities on the basis of merit and capacity should be established in the state agencies. The local level should be made more transparent and accountable.
Simplification of Public Services: The services available to the citizens (such as passports, citizenship, licenses and health services) should be made easy with modernity. Arrangements should be made to get them on time without hassle, using digital technology. Delays and bribery in government offices should be completely eliminated.
Conclusion
Anarchy only leads to destruction. Peace and stability in the country is possible only when the state deeply realizes its responsibility and responsibility towards its citizens. If there is a strong will in the leadership, honesty in the bureaucracy and a strong tripartite relationship of consciousness among the citizens, then the country will not take long to move towards prosperity. Therefore, the only option for the present is to move forward unitedly on the path of systemic and structural reform, not by procrastination. Everyone should be aware.
