Rs 12 lakh cheated in the name of foreign employment in Sarlahi returned on the initiative of the administration
Sarlahi. The victims have got back Rs 12 lakh from the District Administration Office, Sarlahi on the initiative of the District Administration Office, Sarlahi. Rakesh Mahato (Nathuni Mahato), son of Rajendra Mahato of Ishwarpur Municipality-1, had taken money from various people on the pretext of providing foreign employment in Mauritius.
The victims had filed a complaint at the District Administration Office alleging that they were cheated even after a long time of paying the money, neither did he send them abroad for employment nor returned the money. Rakesh allegedly took a total of Rs 1.
2 million from Raj Kumar Rauniyar and Ajay Thakur of Malangawa Municipality-10, Prahlad Sahani of Ishwarpur Municipality-6 and Sandip Yadav of Brahmapuri Rural Municipality-6.
After the complaint of the victims, the District Administration Office, Sarlahi called both the parties to the office and held necessary discussions and coordination. After the discussion in the presence of the administration, Rakesh Mahato’s father Rajendra Mahato returned all the Rs 12 lakh taken from the victims.
At a time when the cases of fraud in the name of sending foreign employment are increasing, it has become a matter of relief for the victims to get the money back at the initiative of the administration. The District Administration Office has urged the general public to check the authenticity of the person and institution concerned before going for foreign employment and to proceed with the process only through legal channel.
