Gas is coming regularly but there is a problem in the distribution system: Shrestha<\/p>\n
Kathmandu. Chairman of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee Bodh Narayan Shrestha has urged the Ministry of Industry, Nepal Oil Corporation, industrialists and traders to hold a direct meeting to resolve the problem of gas shortage seen in the country. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Shrestha said that although gas is regularly imported from India, there is a problem in the distribution system.<\/p>\n
Stating that the problem of gas was getting more complicated, he stressed the need of holding discussions so that the people could know where the problem lies. <\/p>\n
He said, “The painful statement of the Industry Minister was related to gas, I heard it repeated three times in the video. Similarly, we also heard the efforts of the secretary and other employees to solve the gas problem with good intentions. But the problem of gas is the same. It is going to a difficult situation and it is coming from India regularly, but it is understood that there is a problem somewhere in the distribution system. So I have some suggestions in this regard. Shrestha said that the ministry, the oil corporation, industrialists and traders should be held directly immediately. <\/p>\n
He said, “First the ministry, then the oil corporation, industrialists and businessmen should have a live meeting. All the people should know where the problem is. Second, the industrialists and traders are transporting. 20 vehicles are transporting, now let’s transport 100 vehicles. This problem will be solved immediately.” He also urged the consumers not to store more gas than required. He said that the supply of gas will be regular again after the road is opened as work is being done on the landslide of Krishnabhir. <\/p>\n
Shrestha said, “Consumers should also not overstock, overstock has also created problems. Work is currently going on in the landslide of Krishnabhir. As soon as it opens, the supply of gas will be regular again. Therefore, it is the responsibility of everyone to contribute to solving the problem. If the government can bring schemes that provide electric stoves at a special discount, then in the long run, we will also reduce the number of people who have to depend on gas. He said that the command center should work by creating separate mechanisms for the Kathmandu Valley, disaster-affected districts and other areas. <\/p>\n
Shrestha also stressed on increasing the use of electric stoves to reduce dependence on gas in the long term and to start excavation of potential sources of gas in Nepal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
