Six parliamentary committees to meet today <\/strong><\/p>\n
Kathmandu. Six parliamentary committees of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly are meeting today (Friday).<\/p>\n The 29th meeting of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives is scheduled for 9:30 am. The meeting will discuss the bill designed to amend the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058 BS. The Finance Minister, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Law and officials of the Nepal Rastra Bank have been invited for the discussion.<\/p>\n A meeting of the Women and Social Affairs Committee is also being held at the same time. The meeting will discuss the protection of women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups from sexual exploitation, violence, abuse and harassment in flood-affected areas, relief camps and temporary shelters. <\/p>\n A meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will be held at 10 am. The meeting will discuss the damage, rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health and Food and Hygiene in the areas affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River. The Health Minister and the Secretary have been invited to be present in the meeting. Similarly, a meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee will be held at 12:15 pm.<\/p>\n The meeting will discuss the damage caused by global climate change in Nepal, disaster risk management, utilization of climate finance and the issues that Nepal should raise in the upcoming international climate conference. <\/p>\n Similarly, a meeting of the Committee on Federalism and National Concerns under the National Assembly will be held at 1:30 pm. The meeting will discuss the implementation and strengthening of federalism with experts. <\/p>\n Similarly, the meeting of the Legislative Management Committee will be held at 2 pm.
