Various literary programs are being celebrated today in memory of the contribution of Bhatta, the pioneer of Shringara Rasa in Nepali literature and a multi-dimensional talent. <\/p>\n Motiram was one of the few non-Rana Nepalese who got the opportunity to study at the Durbar High School during the Rana regime. He went to Banaras in India with his family at the young age of 6 years and studied Urdu literature intensively. He also had experience of writing plays in Urdu language and made an incomparable contribution to the development and expansion of Nepali language and literature in his short life. <\/p>\n Considered to be the first biographer, critic and pioneer of ghazals in Nepali literature, Bhatta reflected deep national consciousness and self-respect for Nepaliness.<\/p>\n In the history of Nepali literature, Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya and young poet Motiram Bhatta are considered to be synonymous with each other. After listening to Bhanubhakta’s poems at a friend’s wedding ceremony, Motiram worked tirelessly to search for and excavate the unpublished works of Bhanubhakta. <\/p>\n Motiram is credited with collecting, editing, and publishing Bhanubhakta’s Ramayana and other minor works to the public.
