Kathmandu. Member of the House of Representatives Dr. Arjun Karki and former minister Bimala Rai Poudyal among others distributed relief to the flood-affected people of Rasuwa. <\/p>\n
The team reached Kalika rural municipality-1 of Rasuwa district and distributed essential goods including food to 166 affected people.<\/p>\n

The team distributed one sack of rice, lentils, salt-oil, sugar, beaten rice and other food items to each family. The relief was distributed with the help of WHH, RRN and other organizations.<\/p>\n
\n
The devastating floods on August 23 had caused huge damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other areas.<\/p>\n
\n
Dr Karki, who is also the former ambassador to Nepal, has also appealed to the international level for relief and rescue efforts.<\/p>\n
\n
He also drew the attention of the government to the effectiveness of relief and rescue work and gave various suggestions. <\/p>\n
A total of 7,570 buildings have been damaged and 32,<\/p>\n
963 people from 8,317 households have been directly affected by the disaster. <\/p>\n
As many as 5,130 people are still out of contact after the floods and landslides. It said it was continuing to send food and non-food items by road and air to the affected districts. <\/p>\n
The flow of relief materials to the affected districts has decreased in recent period. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
