Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Ashok Raj Sigdel left for Beijing on Sunday for an official visit to the People&#8217;s Republic of China. <\/p>\n<p> At the invitation of the Chinese side, Chief of Army Staff Sigdel is scheduled to visit China from September 12 to September 13. During the visit, he is also scheduled to participate in the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum to be held in Beijing, according to the Nepal Army. Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lt Gen Pradeep Jung KC bade farewell to Sigdel at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) before leaving for China. The Nepal Army has expressed the belief that the Chinese visit would further consolidate and expand the relations between the two countries as well as contribute to Nepal&#8217;s foreign policy through military diplomacy. Before the visit, a contingent of Nepal Army had offered a guard of honour to CoAS Sigdel at the Nepali Army Headquarters.
