The Nepali movie ‘Chameliko Poi’, written and directed by Surya Bohara, is going to be released across the country from October 2. Mukun Bhusal and Surakshya Pant are in the lead roles in the movie. <\/p>\n The movie is produced under the banner of Dhanalaxmi Cinemax Pvt. Ltd. and produced by Sunita Sapkota and Ram Narayan Upadhyaya. The movie stars Narayan Tripathi, Wilson Bikram Rai, Prem Dev Giri, Rabindra Jha, Ganesh Gautam, Anshu Maharjan, Tara Sharma, Rajani Gurung, Babin Rai, Umesh Rai (Phulande’s mother) and Khadak Bahadur Pun Magar (Khabpu). Producer Ram Narayan Upadhyay, who participated in the film’s production for the first time, said that he is excited about the release of ‘Chameli’s Poi’. According to him, the production process has been a new but positive experience for him as he has worked closely with the director and team since the beginning of the film’s production. He said, “I am very excited, filmmaking is the first time. I have had a very good experience.” “<\/p>\n For Upadhyay, who has an engineering background, filmmaking is technically a new field, but the experience of project management has made it easier to work. During the filmmaking, topics like camera, location selection, actor selection, script and shooting process became new experiences for him. <\/p>\n He said, “I am an engineer. For any project, there are materials procurement, planning, money, etc. I did not know the technical things in the film industry, which I learned during the shooting.” According to Upadhyay, his wife and co-producer of the film, Sunita Sapkota, had a desire to make a film in Nepal for a long time. He said that he has a family relationship with director Surya Bohara for about 15-20 years and the plan to make the film has moved forward after the script narrated by Bohara. <\/p>\n Recalling that Surya Bohara has already directed films like ‘Kanchhi’, ‘Thuli’ and ‘Agnipariksha’, Upadhyay said that the project moved ahead due to his trust in the director.<\/p>\n The production team says that the storyline of the film is based on family relations, domestic quarrels, and comedic events. The story is based on the general disputes between husband and wife, humor and emotional events arising in family situations. <\/p>\n Upadhyay said that with the increase in the number of Nepali films, the audience is also aware of the choice. Therefore, he says that the film is trying to connect the audience emotionally with entertainment. <\/p>\n He said, “Earlier, films were made less, the audience was forced to watch the film. Now many films are being made, the audience has also become choosy. But since the films of the comedy genre are in a new taste, all kinds of audiences will reach the halls. Comedy, emotion and a family education film will be liked by many. Although ‘ Jasmine’s Poi’ is focused on the comedy genre, the production team has given priority to the family theme. According to Upadhyay, the film presents the common events that the audience sees and experiences in their family in a humorous style. <\/p>\n Upadhyay also cited his old relationship with director Surya Bohara as the main reason for Narayan Tripathi’s participation in the film. He said that Bohara had been saying that Tripathi would be suitable for a role in the script and was offered to him after the script was ready. After that, Tripathi accepted the role and worked in the film, he said.<\/p>\n According to him, some of the performances of ‘Jasmine Ki Poi’ have also been done in the US. Upadhyay said that four to five shows have been done in America and there has been a positive response from them. <\/p>\n Upadhyay also shared his experience about the role of a low budget and competent director in film production. According to him, a good script, the selection of the right director and actors helps in making the film production systematic. Urging the audience to come to the cinema hall and watch it, Upadhyay said that they have made a new style of comedy film with hard work. <\/p>\n He said, “We have worked very hard to make a film of a different comedy genre. Go to the theater on October 16 and watch, support, love. If it is good, clap, react even if it is bad. But you will not know that two and a half hours have passed.” The production team has said that preparations are also going on for a new film after ‘Jasmine Ki Poi’. According to Upadhyay, one or two issues for the new project have reached the final stage.
