The dilapidated condition of the bridge has made it difficult for the locals and livestock of Simkot Rural Municipality-1 and 2 to cross the river. <\/p>\n
According to the locals, they have to travel to the district headquarters Simkot daily for work, but due to the dilapidated condition of the bridge, they have to travel by taking risk. Some locals have been forced to cross the river along the bridge. <\/p>\n
The movement of locals has been further affected due to the obstruction of various sections of the road linking Thehe to the district headquarters Simkot. The road has been obstructed due to landslides and falling of big boulders in Langdu, Lovely Danda, Bargaun, Chichideni and Pyrapori among other areas. <\/p>\n
Locals have complained that the road blockade has caused more problems for the patients, children and senior citizens. According to them, the road has not been opened on time even after a week of obstruction. Chief Administrative Officer of Simkot Rural Municipality, Dambar Bahadur Budha, said that the work of reopening the blocked road connecting the district headquarters to wards 1 and 2 has started from Wednesday. According to him, works are underway to open the road blocked due to rain in Burause area of rural municipality-3 using JCV. Budha said that preparations are being made to bring all the short-route roads that were blocked due to rain in the rural municipality within a day or two. Meanwhile, various road sections of Kharpunath rural municipality of Humla under the Karnali corridor have also been obstructed due to incessant <\/p>\n
rains. According to the District Police Office, Humla, the road has been obstructed in Musedi and Lalibagar areas of Kharpunath rural municipality. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Humla, Shankar Khadka, said that work is underway to bring the traffic into operation by mobilizing JCV on the obstructed road. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
