The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chaired by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has taken important decisions related to the local level elections, organizational expansion and running of the party. Party Spokesperson Jagadish Kharel informed about the decisions taken by the meeting in a press conference. The meeting also formed a central candidate selection committee under the convenorship of General Secretary Bipin Acharya targeting the upcoming local level elections. <\/p>\n
Toshima Karki, Milan Limbu and other leaders will be members of the committee. In addition, chiefs, deputy chiefs and members of 14 central departments have also been nominated. Kharel said that the meeting has decided to conduct a nationwide campaign from October 20 to 27 to strengthen the organization. Under this campaign, all the MPs and central members of the party will be compulsorily deployed in all the 753 municipalities of all 77 districts. According to the roster of the campaign, the MPs will be mobilized in a different district than their own constituency or district. The meeting also decided to study the report of the task force formed under the leadership of Joint General Secretary Hari Dhakal to resolve the dispute related to Madhes province of the party and take necessary steps and to search for suitable land or house for the establishment of the party’s own permanent office in the Kathmandu Valley. Meanwhile, the RSP has concluded that the pace of development works and good governance should be accelerated in the coming days, terming the party’s participation in the government for 6 months as satisfactory. <\/p>\n
