Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has said that national consensus among all political forces is necessary to give a way out to the country. <\/p>\n
Addressing the inaugural session of the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress here today, Lingden said the issues raised by him during the party’s 14th general convention five years ago are still relevant. He said that the political situation of the country was becoming more complex and the people’s hatred and hatred towards leaders and politics could not improve. <\/p>\n
“The kind of hatred and hatred that the general public had towards leaders and politics has not improved. In the meantime, there has been some change, there has been a change in the people, but even now the situation of the country is not only where it is, it has become more complicated. The country has entered a kind of dark tunnel. The political fluidity has increased,” he said. <\/p>\n
Lingden claimed that the problem was not only in the individual but also in the governance system and the constitution. “It has been seen in the last 6 months that the problem cannot be solved only by changing people. The problem is also in the system that you have brought in the best. It is in the constitution,” he said. <\/p>\n
He said that the constitution should not be taken as a document that should not be amended. “The constitution is not the Gita, it is not the Bible, it is not the Quran, it should not be touched, it should not be used. Yesterday, you might have made this constitution with good intentions, but today there are flaws in it. Therefore, things that do not match should be corrected,” he said. <\/p>\n
Lingden said that the politics of prohibition has further troubled the country. Stating that the politics of negation has been practiced from the king to the political parties, from political parties to parties and factions within the party, he said that the politics of negation should now be brought out of it. <\/p>\n
He opined that the country should be given a way out by keeping the king, political parties and the new generation together. He said that democracy in 2007, multiparty competition in 1990, inclusive proportionality of 2006\/63 and the aspirations of Gen-G generation should be preserved and move forward with a new understanding. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, Lingden congratulated NC President Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma for the success of the party’s 15th general convention. <\/p>\n
