. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has invited international tenders for the minting and supply of 300 million pieces of coins of Rs 2 denomination. The Currency Management Department of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Monday issued a notice inviting sealed tenders from pre-qualified security minting companies for the design, minting, supply and delivery of coins.<\/p>\n The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has said it has invited bids for the production of coins through an international competitive bidding process.<\/p>\n Pre-qualified bidders can purchase tender documents from the Currency Management Department at Thapathali or from the Taksar Department at Babarmahal. A non-refundable fee of Rs 20,000, USD 131 or USD 115 will be fixed for the purchase of documents. The tender documents can be purchased till November 1. <\/p>\n The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is going to hold a pre-bid meeting at the Department of Currency Management at Thapathali at 12:00 noon on October 14 to discuss the bidding process and discuss the necessary issues. Bidders will have to submit the technical and price proposals in separate sealed envelopes to the Currency Management Department of the Rastra Bank by 12 noon on November 3. The bid will be opened at 1 pm on the same day in the presence of the bidder’s representative. At the time of submission of the bid, a minimum deposit of 132,000 US dollars or equivalent Nepali rupees\u00f7other currencies will have to be kept.
