Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has decided to increase the number of joint general secretaries to 15. A new structure has been set up giving priority to inclusive representation through the amendment of the statute. <\/p>\n
As per the new provision, there will be a total of 15 joint general secretaries, including 9 on the basis of inclusion, 2 on the basis of open category and 4 on the basis of the president. <\/p>\n
Under the inclusive group, one joint general secretary will be elected from women, indigenous nationalities, Dalits, Madhesi, Khas Arya, Tharu, Muslim, backward regions and minorities and differently-abled communities. <\/p>\n
The minority\/disabled cluster was not included in the previous Congress. However, the new amendment has brought these groups under the ambit of representation. <\/p>\n
The party president has the right to nominate four joint general secretaries including one woman compulsory. <\/p>\n
