Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan has announced his candidacy for the post of open central member in the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress.<\/p>\n Talking to media persons at the venue of the general convention on Monday, Maharjan said that he has been the mayor of the metropolis twice and he is filing his candidacy to pass on the knowledge, skills and experience he has gained at the local level to other people’s representatives through the party. <\/p>\n He said, “I am contesting for the open central member in the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress. My candidacy is because I have been the mayor of the metropolis twice. As my media friends talk about the mayor who has done good work, I have acquired the knowledge, experience and skills I have in Lalitpur Metropolitan City. My candidacy is also to transfer that knowledge and skills to the future mayor and local representatives like me.” Maharjan said that the problems seen in the Congress should not be taken as an ego and should be solved. He said that the discrimination between juniors and seniors and the tendency to take different views in a different way is a problem within the Congress. <\/p>\n “I try to reconcile the issues within the Congress without taking them as egos. Now the problem is that it is taken as ego. The junior-senior said that based on the difference of the year, even if he spoke well, he accepted it in a different way. This is because of the ego,” he said. <\/p>\n He said that he would play a role in ending the problem of ego in the Congress and also praised the political proposal presented in the 15th Congress Congress. He claimed that if only 10-15 percent of the issues mentioned in the proposal could be implemented, there would be a big change in the country. <\/p>\n “The political proposal presented now is very good.
