Lama, who had filed his candidacy for the post of central member under the open category in the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress, said that he had filed his candidacy on the basis of his experience of working in the party for a long time. He said that he had served as a general convention delegate twice, a Mahasamiti member twice and a central committee twice. On the occasion, Lama said that he had contributed to the party’s organizational building by reaching different districts to the campaign of ‘Ghar Ghar Nepali Congress, Ghar Ghar Go, Let Congress Win’ launched by the party after the 14th General Convention. <\/p>\n
He said, “I have contributed to the organization of the party in various districts including Dolakha, Manang, Sarlahi. I got a chance to mingle with the friends of the party. Therefore, I also have the experience of how to make the party stronger.” Lama said that the Congress has made arrangements to ensure the representation of youth, women, senior citizens and various communities and groups through the amendment of the statute. According to him, arrangements have been made to connect the new generation below 35 years of age to the mainstream of the party and representation has also been ensured for women at various levels. <\/p>\n
He said that the NC should be taken forward by combining the experience of the senior leaders and the energy of the youths by connecting the previous generation to the party. <\/p>\n
Lama said, “Efforts are being made to form a new Congress by combining the advice of senior leaders and the energy of the youth.” Now the party president Gagan Kumar Thapa is also young and efforts are being made to take the Congress forward by giving more priority to the youth. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
