Even after a long time of the security agencies taking control of the meat, the process of taking action has been slow as the mastermind and businessman of the incident have not been arrested. <\/p>\n
A large quantity of meat being smuggled illegally from the border point of Koshi region was seized with the active participation of police and locals. Although the meat being smuggled illegally and inedible taking advantage of the open border has been taken under control, the police have not been able to reach the main accused involved in the business.<\/p>\n
Although the police are said to be investigating the smuggling case, the main operators of the gang are still absconding. Locals and stakeholders have expressed dissatisfaction over the fact that the real businessman has not been arrested so far. <\/p>\n
Superintendent of Police (SP) Pushpa Raj Malla, Sunsari, said that the District Police Office, Sunsari is investigating the incident seriously and the profile of the person involved is being prepared. According to the police, they have pledged to find and take legal action against anyone involved in the illegal smuggling. <\/p>\n
Illegal smuggling of meat and livestock from the Koshi area has been taking place from time to time, but the smuggling network has continued as the main traders have not been arrested. <\/p>\n
The stakeholders have demanded increased vigilance at the border points and immediate arrest of the main culprits of illegal activities and strict legal action. <\/p>\n
