. Dr. Dila Sangraula Panta, the outgoing joint general secretary of the Nepali Congress and former president of Nepal Women’s Association, has filed her candidacy for the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress. <\/p>\n
She filed her candidacy at the National Assembly Hall, the place designated by the Election Committee of the Nepali Congress. After filing her candidacy, she has also made public her detailed manifesto for the ideological, organizational and policy transformation of the party. She pledged to make the party modern and technology-friendly by imbibing the glorious history of the party, democratic norms and principles of BP Koirala. In the public affidavit, Dr. Sangraula has presented the rationale for her candidature with five main reasons. She has said that she will use her experience of student politics, the efficient leadership of the Women’s Association, the Constituent Assembly member and the central joint general secretary in the chief executive role of the party. She has pledged to make the NC a transparent and technology-friendly ‘Digital Congress’ by freeing it from the traditional way, to end the factions and sub-factions within the party and to distribute opportunities judiciously on the basis of merit and contribution, and to make the party an organization that will stand up to the daily problems of the people, inflation, unemployment and corruption both in the parliament and on the streets. Through the affidavit, Dr Sangraula has put forward a five-point resolution to build a strong, technology-friendly and dynamic organization for the post of General Secretary. <\/p>\n
which includes policies to make the active membership system fully transparent and digital, promote good governance by maintaining zero tolerance against corruption, and connect youths with employment and entrepreneurship in the country. <\/p>\n
She also expressed her determination to ensure the meaningful presence of women from 33 percent to 50 percent in the decision-making level of the party, implement the new economic structure by interpreting BP’s socialism in a timely manner, and establish a tradition of giving responsibilities to loyal cadres on the basis of evaluation. Appreciating the contribution of non-resident Nepalis in Nepal’s prosperity, she said that the Nepali Congress would take initiative for the implementation of ‘Once Nepali Forever Nepali’.
