The Nepali Congress Deuba faction will hold the regional convention before Dashain<\/strong><\/p>\n Kathmandu. The other factions of the Nepali Congress, which are participating in a separate general convention, have said that all the regional conventions will be completed before Dashain. <\/p>\n Former President Sher <\/p>\n Bahadur Deuba-led group has completed 80 percent of the work of ward convention under the 15th general convention and the regional convention will be held before Dashain, according to leader Kiran Raj Poudel. <\/p>\n He said, “So far, 80 percent of the conventions of the wards have been completed.<\/p>\n The regional conventions of all the regions will be held before Dashain. While the establishment faction of the Congress is about to hold the 15th general convention, the other groups have started the process of holding a separate general convention. The city convention of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is being held on Thursday. <\/p>\n The group has also scheduled the 15th general convention for November 21-23. Accordingly, the group has set a schedule to hold the municipal elections on October 20, the provincial assembly elections on October 23 and the provincial convention on November 4. <\/p>\n ‘Election officers are working on behalf of the Central Election Committee in all 77 districts. We will take the party forward in a strong way by holding the general convention on the stipulated date,” said another leader Gururaj Baral. <\/p>\n Leader Baral termed the convention of the establishment group as a ‘club’ and claimed that it will shrink to a smaller size in the future. “The leaders of the special convention have created their own posts to protect themselves for fear of losing them.
