Birgunj. On the occasion of Ghatasthapana, the first day of Bada Dashain, a 151-meter long Chunari Yatra was taken out in Birgunj in honor of the famous Shaktipeeth Gahwamai. <\/p>\n
The Chunari Yatra, which was taken out with the participation of women devotees, has made the religious and cultural atmosphere of Birgunj devotional. On the first day of Dashain, a huge crowd of devotees and devotees thronged the Gahwamai Temple in Birgunj since Sunday morning. <\/p>\n
Expressing their faith and reverence for Gahwamai, women devotees have taken out a long journey with a long chunari. The Chunari Yatra, which was taken out with religious fervour, has added to the charm of Dashain. <\/p>\n
The women devotees who participated in the Chunari Yatra expressed their religious faith by chanting the praises of Mata Gahwamai.<\/p>\n
In Hinduism, the Chunari is considered as a symbol of reverence, devotion and devotion to the Goddess. The Yatra, which took place on the first day of Navratri, has also contributed to the preservation of religious traditions and cultural identity. <\/p>\n
On the occasion of Ghatasthapana, a special puja was performed at the Gahwamai temple since early morning. Devotees visited the temple and prayed for happiness, peace, prosperity and well-being of the family. <\/p>\n
On the first day of Dashain, religious activities are conducted in different places as per the tradition of keeping Jamara in every house, setting up Kalash and worshiping Durga Bhawani. <\/p>\n
Since Birgunj is one of the major religious and cultural centers of Madhes Province, there is an increase in the movement of devotees in the temples and Shakti Peeths here on the occasion of Dashain. Devotees from Birgunj and surrounding areas and neighboring India also come to visit the Gahwamai Temple. <\/p>\n
The 151-metre-long Chunari Yatra taken out in Birgunj with the beginning of Dashain has given the message of religious faith, women’s participation and cultural unity. The movement of devotees is expected to increase in the coming days as special worship and religious rituals will continue at the Gahwamai temple throughout Navratri. <\/p>\n
