Kathmandu. The counting of votes for various posts of the Central Working Committee under the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is underway at 23 places simultaneously at the Central Office, Sanepa. <\/p>\n
With the completion of the counting of votes for the post of president and key office-bearers, the Election Committee has expedited the counting of the posts of joint general secretary and central members of various inclusive clusters. Member Secretary of the Election Committee, Raju Katuwal, said that the election committee has started the counting of votes by forming separate groups according to the posts and clusters as the ballot papers of many posts and candidates have to be managed at the same time. Counting of votes for the posts of open joint general secretary, woman joint general secretary and open woman central member is underway in 5 places while the maximum number of teams have been mobilized in 9 places to speed up the vote counting of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti. Likewise, the counting of Indigenous Nationalities Joint General Secretary, Indigenous Nationalities Open Central Member and Indigenous Nationalities Women Member is being done in 3 places. Counting of votes for the post of open central member, women and youth central member below 3 <\/p>\n
5 years is underway in four places in the Far-Western Province. <\/p>\n
The counting of joint general secretaries, open central members and open women central members is taking place in 2 places. <\/p>\n
The counting of votes has been expedited in 23 places simultaneously. The counting of votes has been going on peacefully with security tightened in the presence of candidates and their official representatives, and the final results of all the remaining posts are set to be made public soon, according to the Central Election Committee. <\/p>\n
According to Katuwal, the counting has been expedited with the aim of publishing the final results by Wednesday. He said it was natural that it was delayed as there were about 7,<\/p>\n
000 voters, more than double the number of voters in the previous general convention. <\/p>\n
Recalling that it took 12 days to have around 3,<\/p>\n
