Kathmandu. Action has been taken against 658 vehicles for violating traffic rules in Kathmandu Valley. <\/p>\n
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 47 drivers for drunk driving, 66 for speeding and 23 for 23 vehicles identified through CCTV in the 24 hours till 6:00 am on October 11, 2008. Similarly, 23 vehicles violating traffic lights, 31 vehicles violating the condition of the road, nine for violating lane discipline, eight for blaring unnecessary horns and two for violating one-way traffic rules have been penalized.
