Inspection of food and grocery shops in Bhairahawa, businessmen were alerted <\/strong><\/p>\n Bhairahawa. A market monitoring was conducted in Bhairahawa of Rupandehi on Tuesday. Under the leadership of Assistant Chief District Officer Lekhnath Neupane, food and grocery shops were monitored. <\/p>\n The monitoring team monitored Nuts and Organic Home, Om Sai Care Traders, Ansar General Stores, Rice Grocery Shop at Maitripath of Siddharthanagar Municipality-5 and Siddheshwor Food Stores, Jaya Mahalaxmi Stores, Devika Kirana Stores and Sushmita Grocery Shop at Ward No. 6 Gallamandi. According to Assistant Chief District Officer Neupane, one of the shops was openly selling dry fruits, the label and period of use were not mentioned, some shops were not renewing their business and the expired goods were available for sale, said Assistant Chief District Officer Neupane. <\/p>\n According to him, some shops in Gallamandi have been found to have goods without purchase bills. He said that beverages without purchase bills and sugar kept for open sale were found and items were destroyed. He said that preparations are being made to call the manufacturers and inquire after it was found that the details of the manufacturer were not mentioned in the packets of Jhilinga roti used in Tihar and the use date was kept for 15 months. <\/p>\n Neupane said that the entrepreneurs have been asked not to sell food items openly, to clearly mention the date of production and use, to renew the business registration certificate and to keep the expired goods separately. According to him, during the monitoring, it was found that the price list in some shops was not updated. Neupane said that the traders were warned without imposing a hefty fine immediately and if the same thing is found again in the next inspection, a written warning will be taken. He said that regular market monitoring will be continued targeting the festivals.
