Humla. Warm clothes have been distributed to 16000 students of Simkot Rural Municipality in the district headquarters of the Himalayan district of Humla. With the onset of the winter season, 1,000 students of 12 community schools of the municipality have been provided jackets, socks and shoes with the help of Warm Nest Foundation, said Simkot Rural Municipality Chairman Bijay Bhandari. <\/p>\n
According to Bhandari, the Karma Flights Foundation, Simkot Rural Municipality and Warm Nest Foundation have provided warm clothes to the students to protect them from the cold. Bhandari said, “The temperature in the district has dropped to minus and we have launched the warm clothes distribution program with the aim of keeping the children warm and safe as the winter season is increasing.” “<\/p>\n
The main objective is to protect the children from the harsh cold of the mountainous region and help them in their health, ease and regular education,” said Bhandari. Sushila Rokaya, vice-chairperson of Simkot Rural Municipality, said that the happiness and enthusiasm seen on the faces of the children with the help of warm clothes has further highlighted the importance of this campaign.<\/p>\n
Heartfelt gratitude has been expressed to the Warm Nest Foundation for helping to make this campaign possible. In addition, Vice-Chairman Rokaya said that there will be continuous cooperation, coordination and commitment to the welfare of children in this campaign of Simkot Rural Municipality. <\/p>\n
This assistance has been given to protect students from the cold and to increase the regular attendance rate in the school. <\/p>\n
With the financial support of the Warm Nest Foundation, the warm clothes prepared in the Nepali industry were distributed to the students studying in the schools of this rural municipality. It is said that the assistance has reached Humla mainly as per the demand of the rural municipality. <\/p>\n
The Warm Nest Foundation has borne Rs 25 lakh and Simkot Rural Municipality has borne the cost of Rs 500,0 <\/p>\n
