Nyanla Pass between Bijer and Saldang villages in Shey-Phoksundo Rural Municipality of Upper Dolpa is at an altitude of 5,390 meters above sea level. Located in the middle of the mountains, this pass is a mandatory transit route for the locals to reach Saldang and return to Bijar from there. Nima Lama, chairperson of Ward No. 8 of Shey-Phoksundo Rural Municipality, said that one has to cross this high mountain road to reach Saldang, the administrative center of Shey-Phoksundo Rural Municipality. <\/p>\n<p>When it snows, Nyanla Pass is covered with snow. After that, the movement of the locals is not easy. Such mountain passes are the main means of connecting villages in Upper Dolpa, which does not have access to normal roads and alternative transportation.
