Sarlahi. People who have obtained citizenship from other districts can now get a copy of Nepali citizenship from Sarlahi. Issuing a notice on Friday, the District Administration Office, Sarlahi informed that this provision has come into effect. <\/p>\n
According to point number 21 of the 100-point governance reform agenda of the Government of Nepal and the Nepali Citizenship (Fifth Amendment) Regulation, 2083, the Nepali citizens who have obtained citizenship from other districts and are currently living in Sarlahi can obtain a copy of the citizenship from the District Administration Office, Sarlahi. According to the notice issued by the District Administration Office, Sarlahi, the citizenship certificate has been destroyed by fire or water, has become obsolete, lost, required in a new format or for any other reason can avail this facility. According to the circular of the Ministry of Home Affairs dated October 22, 2083, a copy of the citizenship certificate will be issued if the biological details of the holder of the citizenship certificate match the details in the National Identity Management Information System (NIDMIS) and the Centralized Citizenship Information System (CCIMS). <\/p>\n
However, if the records are not found or the name, surname, date of birth and other details mentioned in the records are different from the previous citizenship, then the process will be different. <\/p>\n
Similarly, the District Administration Office has requested the applicants who want to get a copy of the citizenship certificate that are prima facie suspicious to contact the concerned district where they initially obtained the citizenship. <\/p>\n
There has already been a huge crowd of service seekers coming to the Sarlahi District Administration Office to get a copy of the citizenship. Especially due to the pressure of service seekers coming to get various services, there is a long queue in the office. <\/p>\n
In such a situation, the pressure of service seekers in the office can increase further as citizens who have obtained citizenship from other districts but are currently living in Sarlahi can also get a copy from here. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
