Kathmandu. Former King Gyanendra Shah has issued a video message on the occasion of New Year 2083. He has expressed serious concern over the current political situation in the country. He called on all sides to shun the politics of negation and revenge and move ahead keeping the country at the centre. <\/p>\n
KATHMANDU: Former King Shah has stressed the need to address the existing dissatisfaction and demands in the country through dialogue, consensus and collaboration. “There should be no further delay to seek a constitutional solution by considering the people’s wishes,” he said. \u2019<\/p>\n
Commenting on the political and governance changes that took place in the past years, he said that Nepal has become just a laboratory. He concluded that the overall situation has not improved due to the change in methods and people. “We ran a lot in the quagmire, but lagged far behind in the prosperity of the nation,” he added. \u2019<\/p>\n
Amid the disappointment, the former king has enthusiastically welcomed one positive aspect. He expressed the belief that the increasing attraction of educated, technologically savvy and modern-minded youths in politics and state operation would make the nation fruitful. <\/p>\n
