Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has decided to shut down take-off and landing operations for 7 hours every night to expedite infrastructure construction works. Induraj Adhikari, chief of the Terminal Management Division of the airport, said that the pavement construction work will be closed from 11:45 pm to 6:30 am every day until May 17. <\/p>\n
According to a notice issued by the Airport Office, the decision has been taken to complete the construction work at the earliest. As the construction work is going on in the taxiway area near the runway, the flight operation will be completely halted at night due to security reasons. In view of the possible impact on passengers and flight management during this period, the Airport Office has urged all the air service providing companies to adjust their flight and landing schedules as per the need. <\/p>\n
