KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party) has made its views clear on the ordinance and public administration reforms, calling for correcting past political practices. Chief Whip Kabindra Burlakoti said the ordinance was used in the past as a means to split the political parties or put pressure on the opposition. <\/p>\n
He claimed that the current ordinances were not intended to affect any individual or group, but were brought within the ambit of the law to bring necessary legal reforms. He said that the commitment of RSP to law, political behavior and democratic system would be evident from this. Citing the example of the role of the main opposition in parliamentary committees and the exercise of responsibility even without consensus, Burlakoti cited instances in the past when lawmakers from the prime minister’s own party became the chairmen of the PAC. <\/p>\n
Likewise, he stressed the need of making immediate appointments in the constitutional commissions and bodies across the country as the posts have remained vacant for long and only the caretaker structure should be utilized. According to him, service delivery has been affected as per the people’s expectation due to delay in decision making, hence an ‘active and responsible political initiative’ is necessary. <\/p>\n
The RSP has also decided to institutionalize regular discussions. Arrangements will be made for the lawmakers to put their problems and suggestions in writing. It has also been made clear that the leadership will always be available to facilitate in case of any misunderstanding or difficulty. <\/p>\n
The party welcomes those who want to join the organization, but the policy of getting responsibilities and opportunities will be adopted only after working within the organization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
