Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has directed the people not to resort to manhandling of hospitals, vandalism, lockdown and other activities against the law. Issuing a press release on Wednesday, the Ministry stated that of late there have been complaints that some people enter the hospital premises without permission, take photos and videos of patients and health workers, unnecessarily crowd and obstruct the treatment process. <\/p>\n
According to the ministry, such activities have violated patient privacy and have a serious impact on the delivery of health services. Making a video without permission in a sensitive area like a hospital, misbehaving with health workers or pressuring them is a violation of the prevailing law. <\/p>\n
“The Act Related to Security of Health Workers and Health Institutions, 2066 BS has made provision against obstruction in the treatment of health workers and also prohibits any person from being manhandled, threatened, abusive or abusive. Similarly, according to the Civil Crime Code, 2074 BS, no photo can be taken without permission. <\/p>\n
The Ministry has urged all not to publish and disseminate photos and videos inside the premises of hospitals and health institutions without the permission of the concerned bodies.
