Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has said its serious attention has been drawn to the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra to be conducted between India and China via Lipulekh. In response to the queries and concerns raised by various media outlets, the Ministry has said the government was clear and firm on the issue related to Nepal’s sovereignty. <\/p>\n
According to the Ministry, Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani east of the Mahakali River are part of Nepal as per the Sugauli Treaty of 1816. It has also been clarified that there is no confusion on this matter. <\/p>\n
KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal has said it has already conveyed its disapproval to both India and China through diplomatic channel on the issue of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. It was also shared that China was officially informed about the fact that Lipu Lekh is part of Nepal. <\/p>\n
