Kathmandu. Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Sasmit Pokharel, has directed subordinate bodies to make public service efficient, effective and citizen-friendly. Addressing the meeting of the Ministry-level Development Problems Resolution Committee and progress review of the third quarter of the fiscal year 2082\/83 held at the Ministry today, Minister Pokharel stressed on making the service system simple, easy and result-oriented by keeping the problems of the service seekers and the general public at the centre. <\/p>\n
Minister Pokharel, also the Spokesperson of the government, said that the incumbent government was working towards making service delivery effective by promoting good governance through policy-level and structural-level reforms. He urged all bodies to complete annual plans and programmes as per the target and contribute to the goals of development and economic prosperity. According to the details presented in the meeting, 64 per cent financial progress has been achieved while physical progress has crossed 70 per cent in the nine months of the current fiscal year. <\/p>\n
The implementation status of the ongoing programmes during the review period was satisfactory and the target was expected to be achieved within the stipulated time. On the occasion, Joint Secretary Shiva Kumar Sapkota, Chief of the Planning and Monitoring Division at the Ministry, presented the progress report while the chiefs of various agencies presented their progress reports. <\/p>\n
The meeting concluded that the implementation status of targeted programmes in the three months was satisfactory and the targeted programmes were on the verge of being completed annually within the fiscal year.
