Kathmandu. The Troubled Cooperative Management Committee Koshi Province has said it has expedited the process of refunding the money of the savers of the Ambe-Koshi Savings and Credit Cooperatives and recovering the loans. Committee member Jeevan Kafle said that under the second phase of the savings back process, 339 savers with savings above Rs 20,000 and saving less than Rs 100,000 have been refunded at the rate of Rs 20,000 each. <\/p>\n
In the first phase, 312 savers with savings of less than Rs 20,000 have already been paid, according to the committee. According to the committee, loans worth Rs 2,52,44,000 have been settled so far from savers’ money. Committee Chair Bharat Bahadur Thapa pledged to make loan recovery process more effective and ease the loan repayment process in the days ahead. <\/p>\n
The committee has so far refunded a total amount of Rs 3,50,81,000 to the savers.
