Kathmandu. National Assembly member and CPN (UML) leader Ram Kumari Jhankri has said that the government’s policies and programmes are only a continuation of old programmes. Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Thursday, Minister Bhandari said that there was no need to comment much on the policies and programmes adding that some points have been deducted and old programmes have been repeated. <\/p>\n
“It was expected that a new era would begin with the emergence of a new force after the defeat of our party and other old democratic-democratic parties in the 21st general election,” she said. But looking at the policies and programs, it seems to be a continuation of the old program. \u2019<\/p>\n
Jhankri said that although the government has raised the agenda of good governance and economic development, in practice it is instilling fear on the private sector. According to him, instead of facilitating the environment for the private sector and economic activities in the name of good governance, there is a tendency to obstruct it. She said, “I want to suggest to the government that good governance means locking up and listening first, not just listening to it.” \u2019<\/p>\n
