This year&#8217;s pre-monsoon rainfall has been the highest in 45 years. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nepal receives an average rainfall of 226.3 millimetres during the pre-monsoon season. <\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari of the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department said that 33 <\/p>\n<div>9.7 millimeters or 145.5 per cent of the average rainfall this year was recorded. Meanwhile, the highest rainfall occurred at Anarmani Birta in Jhapa district in the last 24 hours. Information Officer at the Department, Dinkar Kayastha, said that 208 millimetres rainfall was recorded at the rainfall measurement centre in the last 24 hours. According to him, very heavy rainfall is measured when the rainfall is more than 200 millimetres. Continuous rainfall has been taking place in Jhapa for the past few days. <\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Chief District Officer of Jhapa, Tej Prakash Prasain, said that the rain has been taking place in limited areas in the past few days but no information has been received about the major damage or its impact so far.<\/p>\n<div>According to the Department, monsoon is likely to enter the area from this area. <\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Heavy rainfall was also recorded at some measurement stations in Ilam, Morang, Sunsari and Sindhuli.<\/p>\n<div>However, rainfall is taking place in limited areas this year.
