Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has termed the arrest of party’s vice-chair Bishnu Prasad Poudel as a politically motivated and illegal move.\u00a0A meeting of the CPN-UML Central Secretariat held on Tuesday decided to protest Poudel’s arrest politically and legally. <\/p>\n
The party has claimed that no objective facts or evidence were presented in the arrest made on the pretext of money laundering. The UML has described the incident as a result of political prejudice and vendetta. <\/p>\n
The meeting also expressed its displeasure over the special court’s order to keep him in custody for preliminary investigation. According to the party, the order was not justified. <\/p>\n
