The water supply to Kathmandu Valley has been temporarily halted from today after flood entered the source of the Melamchi Water Supply Project. <\/p>\n<p>According to Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) spokesperson Bir Bahadur Chand, the supply of water from Melamchi to Sundarijal processing centre has been halted temporarily due to complications in the treatment process. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The water in the source has become highly polluted due to the rainfall and the water supply will be resumed as per the predetermined distribution schedule after the re-treatment process will be carried out once the quality improves,&#8221; he said.
