Kathmandu. The Terhathum Power Company Limited has decided to invest in the 21.4 MW Nyadi Fidi Hydropower Project in Lamjung district. The company is going to buy 1 lakh units of promoter shares of North Summit Hydro Limited. <\/p>\n
The 67th board meeting of the company held on June 30 took a formal decision to invest in the project. The company has written a letter to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) informing about the investment. <\/p>\n
According to the company, the company is going to buy the shares from the investible amount in its bank account as per the agreement received from its eighth annual general meeting and the provision of the Letter of Association. As per the agreement, 100,000 units of shares of North Summit Hydro will be purchased at a face value of Rs 100 per share. <\/p>\n
According to the company, the under-construction Nyadi Fidi Hydropower Project located in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality of Lamjung (then Bahundanda and Bhulbhule) has progressed satisfactorily. <\/p>\n
The project has already received the license from the Department of Electricity Development and plans to start commercial generation by November 2023.
