Kathmandu. Police have arrested five persons on the charge of cheating people on the pretext of sending them abroad for foreign employment. The arrestees have been identified as Kunsang Lama, 36, of Sindhuli, Dhan Bahadur Shahi, 42, of Tarakeshwor Municipality-8, Kathmandu, Umesh Limbu, 48, of Taplejung, Sachita Pariyar, 21, of Tanahun and Niroj Rai, 41, of Budhanilkantha Municipality-10, Khotang. <\/p>\n
Among the arrested, Kunsang had swindled Rs 207,000 from one victim on the pretext of sending him to UAE and Dhan Bahadur swindled Rs 295,000 from one victim on the pretext of sending him to Georgia. <\/p>\n
Similarly, a police team deployed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested Kunsang from Budhanilkantha Municipality-2, Dhan Bahadur from Tarakeshwor Municipality-8 and Umesh from Tokha Municipality-5 on Thursday after taking Rs 500,000 from one victim in the name of sending him to Romania and Rs 150,000 from one victim in the name of sending him to Romania. Sachita was arrested from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3 and Niroj from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4 on Friday. <\/p>\n
