Rautahat. The fourth annual chariot procession of the historic and famous Shaktipeeth Shree Gahwamai Temple in Birgunj of Parsa district concluded on Thursday with devotion, devotion and unprecedented enthusiasm. <\/p>\n
This Rath Yatra, which has been organized continuously for the last three years, has continued its glorious tradition this year as well and has made Birgunj the center of religious and cultural festival. A significant number <\/p>\n
of devotees from Parsa, Bara, Rautahat and the Bihar area of neighbouring India also participated in the Rath Yatra. <\/p>\n
According to Narendra Sah, chairman of the Maisthan Temple Board of Directors, special worship and rituals began on the premises of the Gahwamai temple since Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
The chariot procession was inaugurated at an auspicious time after the special Mahapuja of Mata Gahwamai and the installation of the chariot as per the tantric and Vedic rituals. <\/p>\n
The procession started from the temple premises and passed through Ghantaghar, Inner Bypass of Railway Road, Chhapkaiya, Main Road, Hospital Road, Makalu Chowk, Adarshnagar, Ghariarwa and then reached Maisthan Temple.<\/p>\n
Along the entire route of the chariot procession, the local people welcomed the chariot of Mata Gahwamai from the roof of their houses and courtyard by showering flowers on the chariot and offering aarti and worship. <\/p>\n
The local administration and organizers had adopted a special security strategy to make the chariot procession completely safe, systematic and dignified through the main and inner roads of the city.<\/p>\n
A joint team of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Traffic Police was mobilized in large numbers. <\/p>\n
Before the start of the chariot procession, Birgunj and surrounding areas received torrential rains.<\/p>\n
However, the rain did not dampen the enthusiasm and faith of the devotees. Children, youth, women and senior citizens were seen standing in the water and chanting the praises of Mata Gahwamai. <\/p>\n
In addition, during the expansion of the main road currently underway in Birgunj, the physical structures have been demolished at some places, causing general inconvenience in walking and pulling the chariot. <\/p>\n
Despite the potholes and mud on the road, the devotees were enthusiastically competing to pull the rope of the chariot in devotion.<\/p>\n
Various social organizations had also set up stalls offering drinking water, vegetables, fruits and first aid to the devotees. <\/p>\n
After the chariot procession returned to the temple premises after circumambulating the city, a grand and divine Maha Aarti has been organized at exactly 6:00 pm as per the religious rituals. It is estimated that there will be a large presence in the temple area to see the special Maha Aarti performed by the learned Pandits of Banaras.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The organizing committee has made special arrangements for the distribution of Mahaprasad for the devotees and general public present from 6:3 <\/p>\n
0 pm immediately after the completion of the Maha Aarti. According to the committee, arrangements have been made for a well-managed line for the reception of prasad. <\/p>\n
The Gahwamai Rath Yatra, which has been established as the main religious and cultural festival of Birgunj, is not only a religious ritual but has become a strong foundation for the social unity of the region. According to the officials of the organizing committee, this chariot procession has helped to unite the different castes, languages and communities living in Birgunj.<\/p>\n
