Janakpur. Meter rise victims in Janakpurdham have threatened to self-immolate. The victims threatened to self-immolate while demonstrating in front of the Dhanusha District Court on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Yesterday, three meters of electricity were arrested in Janakpurdham. The arrestees have been identified as Hareram Sah of Janakpurdham Sub-metropolis-16, his mother Rekha Kumari Sah and uncle Gopal Sah.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They have been accused of selling land with more than 100 people, not returning the land even after paying the money, taking more than the written amount, making them homeless, etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The victims chanted slogans and protested outside the court premises as the three arrested were taken to the district court for extension of remand today.<\/p>\n
They have demanded maximum punishment for the arrested meters.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They have asked the court not to release them under any circumstances, saying that they can get out of the meter with the power of money. They have threatened to self-immolate if the court releases them for any reason \u0964 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
