. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has been addressing the gathering on behalf of senior citizen leader and former Finance Minister Dr. “I am deeply saddened by the demise of Devendra Raj Pandey. <\/p>\n
President Thapa “With the demise of Dr. Pandey, the nation has lost a towering intellectual, moral leader and vigilant watchdog of democracy,” the statement read. He was in favour of civil liberties, equality, human rights and democratic values. Pandey recalled that he had raised his voice fearlessly throughout his life. <\/p>\n
Expressing his condolence through social media, Thapa said that Dr. Thapa was responsible for the decisive phase of Nepal’s democratic movement. Pandey said that he had played a firm role against autocracy by coordinating the struggle from the citizen’s level. He urged the new generation to focus on democracy, civic consciousness and responsible governance. Pandey said he was constantly inspired. <\/p>\n
Thapa has served as Finance Secretary, Finance Minister, Development Thinker and Good Governance Campaigner. On the occasion, Pandey said that he has made significant contribution to the discourse on Nepal’s economy, public administration and development. <\/p>\n
He has been in public life. Pandey said that honesty, transparency and moral courage will be invaluable legacy for future generations. “As the Finance Secretary, Finance Minister, Development Thinker and Good Governance Campaigner, he provided a new perspective to Nepal’s economy, public administration and development discourse. In favor of social harmony, equality and national unity, Dr. Stating that the role played by Dr. Pandey was particularly memorable, Thapa expressed the belief that the civic awareness and intellectual contributions ignited by him would continue to guide the coming generation. <\/p>\n
