Kathmandu. The Ministry of Infrastructure Development has forwarded homework for the safe, sustainable and effective development and operation of hydrogen-based vehicles in Nepal. <\/p>\n
The Ministry has sought written suggestions from experts, experts and stakeholders with the objective of preparing the necessary policy, legal and technical basis in this regard.<\/p>\n
According to a notice issued by the Ministry, the collection of suggestions will be made on international best practices, regulatory arrangements, safety standards, directives and necessary human resources development for the use of hydrogen technology. <\/p>\n
The ministry has requested universities, research institutions, professional bodies, industry, development partners and international organizations to participate in this process.<\/p>\n
The Ministry has sought suggestions mainly focusing on 6 areas. These include international experience on hydrogen vehicles, policy arrangements, and safety standards ranging from production to refueling infrastructure. In particular, suggestions have been sought regarding the feasibility of converting the vehicles with internal ICE engines into hydrogen technology, its cost and technical aspects. <\/p>\n
The interested stakeholders can submit their suggestions through the official email of the Ministry till August 20, 2081.<\/p>\n
It is stated in the notice that brief introduction, scope of work and experience of the concerned organization or agency should also be disclosed while submitting the suggestion. <\/p>\n
According to the Ministry, the suggestions received will be studied and analyzed as necessary.<\/p>\n
Based on this, the government plans to formulate concrete policy, legal provisions and working procedures related to hydrogen-based vehicles in Nepal.
