Kathmandu. There is good news for foreign students studying in South Korea. South Korea has introduced a system allowing foreign students to invite their parents to work in South Korea. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Students on student visas will now be able to call their parents to Korea as seasonal workers. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
According to a new provision recently introduced by the Immigration Department of Korea, parents of students who meet certain criteria will be allowed to enter Korea for work.<\/p>\n
This arrangement is expected to directly benefit Nepali students in South Korea. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Under the new rules, parents must be 55 years of age or younger.<\/p>\n
They must be in good health, have no criminal record, and have not been banned from entering South Korea in the past. This process will be carried out only in coordination with the university where the students are studying. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The application process will be conducted by the local government. Interested students will have to apply to the relevant local authority to call their parents as seasonal workers. After that, the local government will coordinate with the employer and initiate the necessary process. According to the Department of Immigration, parents will be allowed to work in the area where the students are studying, which will make it easier to live with their families. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
With this arrangement, foreign students living in South Korea, especially Nepali students, will be able to create income opportunities while keeping their families together legally.<\/p>\n
