. A third ship carrying 30,000 metric tonnes of urea fertilizer has arrived at the Kolkata port of India. The fertilizer has been brought with the aim of providing chemical fertilizers to the farmers of Nepal on time. <\/p>\n
According to the ministry, the operation of freight trains on the Indian side has been somewhat affected due to the incessant rainfall at present.<\/p>\n
Due to this, the train carrying 1,250 metric tonnes of urea fertilizer that was supposed to arrive in Nepal yesterday will now arrive in Nepal tomorrow. Another train carrying 2500 metric tonnes of DAP fertilizer is also expected to arrive in Nepal tomorrow. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, 300 metric tonnes of urea fertilizer has been loaded and left for Biratnagar from Kolkata and 450 metric tonnes from Bhairahawa in trucks to speed up the supply of urea fertilizer, according to the Ministry. According to the Ministry, the remaining chemical fertilizers will also be brought to Nepal in a phased manner and will be distributed throughout the country as per the need.<\/p>\n
