According to the information provided by the company to Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), floods and landslides have caused major damage to most of the structures of the project’s headworks.<\/p>\n
According to the preliminary information, the power generation has been halted for the time being as the physical infrastructure of the project has been damaged. <\/p>\n
Surendra Bahadur Khadka, managing director of the company, has informed the regulatory agencies about the adverse situation.<\/p>\n
The company has also sent information to the Securities Board of Nepal, Electricity Regulatory Commission, Office of Company Registrar and CDS and Clearing Limited about the incident. <\/p>\n
Further study is underway on the details of the damage and the time it will take for resumption of the project, which is located in Dokhla district.<\/p>\n
