Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Bikram Timilsina, has directed Badimalika area to immediately provide telephone and internet service.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Timilsina has directed Nepal Telecom to provide telephone service to Badimalika at the earliest.<\/p>\n
He directed to make arrangements to transport goods by helicopter immediately as there is no situation to transport goods through road network.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a discussion held at the Ministry on Friday, Nepal Telecom has expressed its commitment to bring the telephone service into operation within mid-July. Materials for the construction of telephone tower have already been transported to Dhangadhi and Kailali and the work could be done soon with the availability of Nepal Army helicopters.<\/p>\n

Continuous coordination is also being made with the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding the construction of telecommunication mobile towers in different parts of the country.<\/p>\n

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Bibek Mishra on Friday discussed with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s Advisor Bibek Mishra regarding expanding telephone and internet services in the remote and touristic areas including Badimalika.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, discussions were also held on banning online betting apps and controlling online fraud.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Communications and Information Technology Dr Timilsina held a meeting with Badimalika Municipality Mayor Amar Bahadur Khadka on Friday to find out what kind of infrastructures are required in different places. He also inquired about the condition of the road network.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nepal Telecom is working as per the government’s commitment to expand internet services in remote areas of Nepal.<\/p>\n
The company has set a target to immediately provide 4G service at an altitude of 4200 meters in Badimalika Temple area of Bajura. <\/p>\n
A study has been forwarded for the expansion of 4G service in the Sagarmatha Base Camp area as well. As per the government’s plan to expand telephone and internet services in remote areas, the 4G service has been successfully operated at an altitude of around <\/p>\n
3900 meters in Lhan of Tripurasundari Municipality-6 and Dunai area of Thulibheri Municipality-1 of Dolpa district some days ago. <\/p>\n
Similarly, 4G service has started at an altitude of 3400 meters in Olangchungola area of Taplejung.<\/p>\n

The government is now working with priority to expand telephone and internet services along with many other remote places of the country. <\/p>\n
The Ministry of Communications is working as per the priorities of bridging the digital divide and providing quality communication services to all citizens. The process of constructing about <\/p>\n
1600 new telephone towers and related infrastructure (sites) has begun to expand the quality and accessibility of telecommunication services throughout the country. <\/p>\n
For the expansion of services and quality improvement in rural areas, Nepal Telecom is investing more than six billion rupees for the next fiscal year alone.<\/p>\n
