. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Rajiv Khatri has pointed out the need of purification of Nepal Scouts by freeing them from political influence. <\/p>\n
Addressing the convocation ceremony of Nepal Scouts Interim National Executive Committee Chief Commissioner Santosh Kumar Thapa and those appointed to the post of members, lawmaker Khatri congratulated the newly-appointed working committee and said that the time has come to work now.”I want to congratulate all those who have been elected,” he said.<\/p>\n
A new working committee has been formed under the leadership of Santosh Kumar Thapa. Congratulations and best wishes to all. Now they don’t have time to congratulate and greet them, because there is work to be done. Khatri said that managing time and fulfilling responsibilities is a big challenge for the scouts.”For others, it is said that there are 24 hours in a day, but for Scouts, there are 36 hours. The challenge for them is to turn 24 hours into 36 hours,” he said. <\/p>\n
He further said that the government has to hand over the responsibility of holding elections to all 753 local levels, seven provinces and the federal government within the next 11 months.<\/p>\n
Khatri said that not only handing over the responsibility but also reforming and purifying the scouts is necessary.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘For years, Scouting has revolved around politics. Therefore, it is also their responsibility to purify it. It’s important for the scouts to be scouts this time,” he said. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
