. Minister for Health and Sanitation, Nisha Mehta, has taken keen interest in the treatment of Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging his 24th hunger strike since Thursday. Minister Mehta held talks with the Chief Medical Officer of Seti Provincial Hospital, Dr Hemraj Pandey, and directed him to make effective management of the treatment and make necessary coordination. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Chief Advisor of the Ministry, Dr Manohar Pradhan, has also inquired about Dr KC’s health condition, treatment process and necessary management in coordination with the hospital administration. Doctors have suggested that it would not be appropriate to keep Dr KC in the hospital for a long time in view of his current health condition.<\/p>\n
The Ministry said it is continuously monitoring the treatment of the patients. <\/p>\n
Dr. Dr KC was shifted to the ICU of Seti Provincial Hospital from Krishna Mandir Dharamshala in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-1 on Saturday. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the talks team comprising representatives from the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene and the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports is preparing to leave for Dhangadhi today itself to discuss the demands of Dr KC.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
