Bishnu Prasad Ghimire said that Lalkaji Gurung and his wife Mina Gurung own 50 percent shares of the cooperative in the Company Registrar’s Office.<\/p>\n

In a press conference on Friday, he said that there was a document of the loan and the proof of payment of the amount was not public. Ghimire said, “If all the money has been paid, then you have not passed even 50 percent of the shares in your name.”<\/p>\n

According to a press release issued on Saturday , the Civil Cooperative Victim Savers have demanded immediate judicial and government intervention, saying the main assets of the cooperatives are at risk due to the interim order of the Supreme Court.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The victims have said that due to the interim order of the Supreme Court, the income of the Civil Business Complex (Civil Mall) in Sundhara, which is 50 percent owned by the cooperative, has been stopped, which has further weakened the chances of thousands of savers getting their savings back.<\/p>\n

According to the victims, the civil cooperative has 50 percent stake in the Civil Business Complex Pvt Ltd, which was established in 2006.<\/p>\n

shares are in the name of Lalkaji Gurung and his wife Mina Gurung.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A total of 1,582 savers have filed a complaint with the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.<\/p>\n
According to their claims, the claim amount is about Rs 5.92 billion. <\/p>\n
‘The number of victims who have not received the money saved in this cooperative since 2075\u00f776 BS is more than 2,000. 1,582 of the victims had filed a complaint with the CIB of Nepal Police. The compensation amount of 1,582 victims who have filed complaints is Rs 5,92,29,66,647,” the statement said. <\/p>\n
They also said that more than <\/p>\n
20 savers have died since 2075 BS due to inability to meet medical expenses. <\/p>\n
The statement said that it has been heard that the civil mall collects about five crore rupees in rent monthly and the cooperatives are supposed to get half of it, but the concerned body has not taken effective steps for it. <\/p>\n

According to the victims, the civil cooperative was declared problematic on September 21, 2080 when the management committee tried to collect the rent collected from the civil mall. Meanwhile, after Meena Gurung filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court on April 19, 2083, a single bench of Justice Saranga Subedi issued the interim order.<\/p>\n
The victims have claimed that the concerned parties were not summoned while issuing the order. <\/p>\n
They have repeatedly urged the Chief Justice and the concerned bodies to finalize the interim order through petitions, complaints and meetings, but the hearing has been delayed.<\/p>\n
