According to NEA, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has not had to import any electricity from India during this period and has been exporting electricity worth 22,102 MWh of electricity.<\/p>\n
The private sector is the largest contributor to electricity generation. <\/p>\n
Private power producers are supplying 47,<\/p>\n
563 MWh of energy to NEA’s electricity system. NEA has been generating 8,959 MW hours of electricity from its own projects while 17,108 MW hours through its subsidiary companies. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, power supply has not been disrupted in any part of the country due to rainfall since the onset of monsoon, NEA said.<\/p>\n
According to NEA, technical repair teams have been kept on standby round the clock at the offices in all seven provinces and in Kathmandu to resolve possible disruptions. <\/p>\n
